The park was full of people and fun
stuff for families to do.
Paul had nice big yellow signs made up so people would know about fishing
for the kids.
Paul and Lavern Simon with the WSB fish
pens
What a great job Paul and Lavern did. They manned the open house all
day. He set up the youth fishing before the event and put it all away
after the event.
Coast guard did a nice show in the
harbor
You should have been there.
MDRA members spent time teaching the kids
Yes they fished and learned to cast. Dave and Keith helped out.
So did Dick and Bob. Helping the kids is great.
This fater and son pair did thire first fishing
together today
This boy will be asking dad to take him fishing again we hope.
We had a good time on the fishing dock in the harbor
You should have been there.
Many visited and looked in the pens
It was very interesting for the many visitors to see the juvenile White
Seabass in the pens and in the fish tank. Paul explained to the guests
the program and the details well.
Part of show was our release of white seabass
On this day we released over 2,300 white seabass into the harbor.
The harbor makes a good embayment for the 9 to 10 inch juvenile white
seabass.
The spectators felt good about the event too
We played a graduation march as we moved the fish on to their next stage
in the open water.
