Meeting was held at the Burton Chase Park community center.
7 pm since we were serving dinner..
Bob Kissling reports
After Allen called the meeting to order we had reports from various
people. Paul Simon reported on the conservation efforts with the White
Seabass pens at 1 million fish released! Here Bob Kissling
talked about the next fishing events being planed. IE on May 15th the
"May in the Bay for Pay" jackpot fishing day.
Food
service
We ate well with the fine food catered by Outback and head chef Jerry
Napolitano dishing it out. Great dinner for the small fee of just
$10.
Capt John McCarty
The first speaker of the evening was Captain John McCarty of Fin Fever
Sportfishing. Fishing locations and boat and trip management tips
for the most successful fishing trips were discussed in enough detail that
many boaters in the club were feeling the urge to go fishing and try some of
the new tactics out. He has a web site up for his Charter Fishing business
and also has a small yacht broker business. He was a good speaker.
You should have been there.
Our second speaker If you know 976 Tuna then you know this man's
voice. What a great enthusiastic speaker and wealth of knowledge. .
Lots of boating gear was also raffled off.
We decided to sponsor a hole in the Golf Tournament to raise funds for more
Youth Fishing. We gave recognition to Keith Lambert who
spoke on the Western
Fishing & Boating Radio show. Also we passed out sample
bottles of Mer Maids
professional detailing polish for plexiglass and isinglass. We want to
be able to see out and find the fish. Right!
