Well attended meeting had approx. 90 people in attendance.
The highlights... David reviewed his most successful tactics for catching halibut. Using a bounce ball technique. He showed us his preferred flasher and hoochie system. Similar to the one the above that the halibut is about to strike.
Use a 3 way swivel and a heavy ball weight. Hitting the bottom and then raising the rod to again lower the tip and bang the bottom.
Rarely do you see fishermen taking such copious notes. But David shared some really good information. Many are now adding his killer glow in the dark Hula Girl type hoochie to their tackle.
