1^st Place: Victor Jedlicka with a 41.8 pound halibut

A fishing vacation to Baja California’s famous East Cape, the rooster fish capital of the world for two people at the beautiful Hotel Punta Colorada for 7 days and 6 nights including all meals, 3 days of fishing, freezing and packing the catch, air fare to and from LAX to Los Cabos Airport, and transfers to and from airport and hotel.

2nd Place: David Foreman with a 39.6 pound halibut

5th Place: Adolf Valdez with a 33.5 pound halibut

Six days and five nights at Las Rocas Resort, Rosarito Beach, Baja California including 3 days of fishing with Sergio’s Sportfishing, Ensenada, and all meals.

9^th Place: Matt Napolitano, won a Shimano Scimitar Rod and Corvalus Reel combo*

11^th – 15^thPlaces: won Shimano Scimitar Rod and Shimano Corvalus Reel combinations.

*6^th – 15^th place winners’ rod and reel combos were provided by Turner’s Outdoorsman or Shimano.

Top Lady Angler

Top Lady Angler: Sandra Rodriguez with a 21.8 pound halibut won a nice ProGear fishing reel as well as a trophy to mark her achievement. The reel and several raffle items were donated by Lincoln Pico Fishing.

Youth Division:

Top Youth Angler

1^st Place: Christian Bueno, with a 25.1 pound halibut won $300

2^nd Place: Tara Brooks, with a 19.8 pound halibut won $200

3^rd Place: Jonathan Yuja, with a 13 pound halibut won $100

* In addition to the cash prize each youth winner received a high quality Shimano rod and reel combination from West Marine

Cash Jackpot ($20 side bet)

1^st JP Place: Victor Jedlicka with a bag weight of 41.8 pounds won $3,802

2^nd JP Place: David Foreman with a bag weight of 39.6 pounds won $2,281

3^rd JP Place: Ryan Bower with a bag weight of 39.2 pounds won $1,521

Live Fish Donated to Redondo Beach SeaLab

Thanks go out to several anglers who donated their live fish to be used as brood stock to boost halibut numbers for many future generations of fishermen to enjoy. Among those who donated, Adolf Valdez, 5^th place tournament winner, donated his 33.5 pound whopper.
