| The Weekend started off with the best weather seen for a Halibut
Derby in years. Blue ski and flat water. But the fishing was
harder than in most years. Those who succeeded were rewarded with
quality fish. Over 800 Halibut Derby participants share in the bounty
of approximately $65,000 worth of prizes and raffle giveaways.
There were many volunteers that gave selflessly to the club and to
the cause. All the work is for charity. This event is the main
fundraiser for the Youth Fishing Program
that take many underprivileged kids out on the ocean. And we
support conservation with funds and action. See the information on
