Marina Del Rey Halibut Derby
An annual charity event produced by Marina Del Rey Anglers Inc. for the benefit of conservation and youth
fishing activities.
|
The Marina Del Rey Anglers’ 31st Annual
MDR Halibut Derby held on April 2 and 3 of 2005 was an outstanding success. Over
800 anglers competed for a new Toyota Tundra Truck and over
$65,000 in cash and prizes was
distributed from the awards, jackpots, side bets and raffles. Many
thanks go out to all the Derby Sponsors from all around the fishing and boating
community.
The weather was perfect,
the halibut fishing was tough, but the entire 2 day event had a magical
carnival like atmosphere.
