Millennium 2000 Halibut Derby April 1st and 2nd 2000 Extra Info on Boats; Bait; Raffle and Truck Prize
Raffle of hand made knife by Frank McGill We are proud to continue the tradition of offering to a very fortunate raffle winner, a Halibut Derby commemorative knife handcrafted by Frank McGill. Every year Frank specially designs and constructs a knife just for the Marina del Rey Anglers to raffle. McGill’s knives are not just good craft, they are works of art. Call Frank to have one made just for you. This year, the custom knife is a wide blade drop point skinner, it has been crafted from "surgeons" steel. After forming, it is subjected to a high temperature heat treatment. The blade then retains a sharp edge and resists corrosion. The handle is made from a Sambar Stag deer antler. The result is a knife of rare quality. This raffle is separate from the other raffles and door prizes. You need not be present to win. The winner will be truly fortunate.
